Vagus de-armouring – therapeutic work with the vagus nerve.

.

Vagus De-Armouring is a therapeutic practice working with the vagus nerve, aimed at releasing tension and restoring the body’s natural nervous regulation.

Bodywork (group of 3 people): 1,500 CZK/hour

Vagus De-armouring

As part of bodywork — working with the body and the “de-armouring” method (releasing the emotional armor) — I am currently developing a new technique focused on the vagus nerve, which has produced incredible results unlike anything I’ve experienced in my 22 years of working with the body.

In my sessions, I also use the Tok-Sen method — special wooden tools with which I gently tap the body, helping to release tension and blockages.

About the method

Work with the vagus nerve is based on Stephen Porges’ polyvagal theory, a groundbreaking discovery. The vagus nerve has three branches:

Ventral vagus – the “nerve of love and compassion,” responsible for social interactions. When it is relaxed, we feel calm, loving, and connected; when tense, we experience disconnection.

Sympathetic system – the “fight or flight” system, which activates the body for defense and is linked to stress, arousal, and sexuality.

Dorsal branch – the oldest part, associated with the reptilian brain, responsible for freeze responses and strongly influencing fear-based behaviors (dominance, submission, “nice guy/macho” roles, etc.).

Under normal circumstances, we should be able to move freely between these branches. If this is blocked due to freeze responses, a range of issues can appear — anxiety, depression, chronic pain, dizziness, digestive problems, high blood pressure, hearing or vision difficulties, tinnitus, and more.

I have developed a method to intensively release the vagus nerve in the neck (ventral branch) and abdomen (dorsal branch) to quickly regulate these symptoms. Some issues disappear permanently, while others may return with reduced intensity. That’s why self-care and self-massage between sessions are also important.

How Does it Work

At the moment, interest in bodywork with the vagus nerve is so high that the current waiting list is approximately 8 months. I deeply appreciate your interest in this work and in personal development through the vagus nerve. I am currently training new colleagues who will join me in September. Thanks to this, we will be opening new appointments so that, over time, everyone will have the opportunity to come at least once a month. You can book private sessions (currently 60 minutes, later also 90 minutes) for spring, and clients without a session this year will be given priority from September.

Each session begins with a short conversation and a nervous system trigger assessment, allowing you to track monthly changes. This is followed by the treatment itself — a combination of modern bodywork and ancient techniques from Hawaii, Brazil, and Thailand. For example, I use Tok-Sen (a wooden mallet that rhythmically taps to deeply release muscles and energy pathways), which I have been practicing since 2011 with over 10,000 treatments performed. I also use deep vagus nerve drainage on the neck, pressure points, and gentle energetic techniques.

The purpose of this work is to unblock the vagus nerve and release years of accumulated pain, suppressed emotions, and trauma from the body. I have found that virtually any topic can be addressed through this approach and processed quickly. By chance, I also discovered a method to regulate tinnitus — in most cases improving it by up to 75%, and sometimes eliminating it completely.

However, trauma, anxiety, or tinnitus usually cannot be permanently resolved in a single session (exceptions are milder cases). Typically, ongoing collaboration and daily work with the vagus nerve are required. Each client is guided on how to do this, and soon there will be articles and videos available on the website. The usual duration of the process is 4–6 months, sometimes longer.

This is not a traditional massage, but an active form of bodywork involving breath, voice, and conscious communication. Sessions can be intense and sometimes uncomfortable — release and nervous system regulation often come through tension or mild pain. Clients control the intensity themselves; however, if only very light pressure is tolerated, the effect will be insufficient. The neck may remain sensitive for up to two days after the session.

Most clients leave in a state of deep calm, joy, or bliss, with a sense of free-flowing energy and release of the issues they came with. This state lasts longer if clients continue home practice with the nerve after a short two-day break. Clients with deeper trauma may notice smaller changes in their first session.

I am not a shaman or healer, but a bodyworker and Kambo practitioner. I often work remotely (except for tinnitus, which requires direct physical work). This method brings fast results, particularly for pain, anxiety, depression, or burnout. I offer it either free of charge or for a voluntary contribution depending on complexity, and given my high demand, this is often the quickest way to access the work.

My Experience

“I am a certified Kambo practitioner, bodyworker, and massage instructor with 22 years of experience and over 21,000 treatments and applications completed.

In my work with medicine, I integrate my extensive experience in bodywork, which often leads to outstanding results.

My goal is to create a safe space for healing, transformation, and a deep connection between the body and mind, facilitating their full embodiment.

I don’t consider myself a shaman, guru, or teacher—I am simply someone who has undergone intense life experiences and years of practice. From this place, I find joy in sharing my tools and working with them in ways that bring others the profound changes they’ve brought me.”

Testimonials

Hello Vojta, I would like to sincerely thank you for putting us in contact with Renča, with whom my husband and I have already had two vagus nerve massage sessions. Our first session was on February 11th, and yesterday we went again at my husband’s request. My husband has Parkinson’s, and while looking for the best way to help him, I found you and your center. At first, we tried remote healing, which significantly improved his tremor. But after the first massage with Renča, his mobility and confidence while walking also improved. His goal was to increase mobility and stability in movement, and this is gradually improving. On a scale of 1–10, he said he reached a 5 after just the first session. I also had this massage myself, and I must say that after the first session I felt very well and full of energy. My intention was to reconnect with myself — when I left the first session, I was at about 4/10, and after the second session I am already at 1/10. I am very grateful to Renča for that. We have been struggling with my husband’s Parkinson’s for the past three years, and thanks to you, and especially Renča, we are gradually seeing improvements. We will definitely continue, and we believe that these massages and your other methods could help many people in the fight against this disease. With humility and respect for your work,

D&M

I have been regularly attending de-armouring sessions with Vojta at Mahalo for about a year and gradually participated in almost all of the courses. I started courageously with the shadow course, which surprised me with its unconventional approach. During it, I confronted some of my own shadows, which led to interesting life consequences. That year truly gave me a lot in various areas. I learned bodywork techniques, ways to relax and enjoy working with others, how to consciously give and receive, transform energy, stop playing roles, and openly ask for what I need. I acquired the basics of Hawaiian and other massage techniques, met many inspiring friends, and brought a lot of new insights into my life and massage practice. Many of these experiences are still useful to me, and some connections are still gradually clicking into place, opening new horizons. This time was exceptionally enriching and transformative for me.

De-armouring helped me get rid of my fear of men, which was caused by past relationships with men with personality disorders, physical and psychological abuse, including a brutal assault. After just two sessions, which were done through clothing, I stopped reacting with freezing. Gradually, I have started to accept men as friends, I no longer feel resistance towards them, and I am no longer afraid of them. In their presence, I am relaxed, and I don’t mind when a completely unfamiliar man enters my personal space. De-armouring also helped me work on my self-confidence and blocks, such as questions like "What do others think of me?" or "Am I good enough?" I am deeply grateful for this significant contribution to my personal growth.
